A-propos de cântecul ăsta "Above all powers". Mie nu-mi prea place propoziţia "You took the fall". Tradusă undeva de grupul "Agape" (poate unii aţi auzit de el) cu: "Tu ai căzut". Deşi e bine tradusă, totuşi parcă o altă versiune pe care am auzit-o m-a satisfăcut mai bine, ceva de genul "Tu ai murit".
Fiindcă, hai să fim serioşi, nu scrie nicăieri în Biblie că Isus ar fi căzut în sensul implicat în versul respectiv din cântare. În schimb scrie clar de Satana:
Isaia 14:
12. Cum ai căzut din cer, Luceafăr strălucitor, fiu al zorilor! Cum ai fost doborât la pământ, tu, biruitorul neamurilor!
Prin urmare mie acesta mi se pare o frază foarte neinspirată, scrisă aşa de dragul rimei, şi care poate fi înţeleasă complet aiurea decât ceea ce ar dori probabil autorul să transmită.
Când am întrebat pe cineva care cânta această melodie cu grupul de laudă şi închinare, la ce crede că se face referire când spune că Isus a căzut, mi-a zis că atunci când mergea cu crucea în spate pe Golgota. Dar eu nu am găsit aşa ceva.
Singurul loc în versiunea Cornilescu unde am găsit formularea "a căzut" cu referire la Isus este în Matei 26:39, unde zice că Isus a căzut cu faţa la pământ şi se ruga. În engleză (KJV) spune "He fell on His face". Această exprimare mie mi se pare complet diferită de ceea ce ar însemna "to take a fall". Are cineva altă părere?

pe`aici nu prea se discuta.mai mult se posteaza texte. totusi eu as avea o parere...
hai k americanii,englezii blablabla stiu sa`si scrie piesele de inkinare..si textele lor in general, suna cumva. au un stil al lor. stil copiat de noi. si in cele mai multe biserici romanesti, se canta muzica tradusa in stil..'tradus'. poate de aia, sa sune mai..'tineresc, carismatic'.noi parca nu prea avem muzica de inkinare contemporana a noastra,cu textele nostre. sau n`avem deloc. sau avem da nu suna nicicum.
la mine`n biserica nu se canta decat hillsong tradus!!! traducere la all day, fragment : "e ok..e ok..toata ziua te voi urma. toata ziua! toata ziuaaa toata ziua. te voi urma.." sau traducere la one way : "doar tu isus esti motivul ptr care traiesc".. imi vine sa fug pe marte.
vorba aia..durere..
mai merge un tradus-doua dar deja suntem cam in panta. alunecam spre patetic.

Sunt foarte de acord cu ce ai scris(refreshment)...ii asa de tragic ca nu mai sunt crstini(sau sunt fff putini) care sa se lase la indemana Duhului Sfant sa le dea inspiratie, asa cum ii dadea lui David...

Ma alatur si eu la ce ati scris voi. Chiar nu inteleg de ce in partea de lauda si inchinare nu se canta piese romanesti originale(au identic, pur si simplu si altii) niste piese superbe, mult mai faine decat traducerile penibile, uneori, ale pieselor occidentale.
Uitati-va un pic la versurile piesei FARA SFARSIT, semnata Fa o diferenta:
